Ghenadie Popescu (b. 1971, Floresti, Republic of Moldova) lives and works in Chisinau. Ghenadie Popescu is interested in local (post-communist) identity, tradition, geopolitic mixture. His is known for his art objects, performance, video, and videoanimation, refering in his art to the absurdity of the world he lives and works in.

Ghenadie Popescu studied at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts, Painting Department, on the basis of free atte in Chisinau, Moldova. Since 2012 he has mostly involved in personal stop-motion animation projects.
